We are looking for testing professionals for an MNC Client at Hyderabad
This position is on Contract for min 3 months (could be extendable )
Position â€" QA Lead
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5-8 years testing experience.
Excellent technical testing abilities within interactive video terminals or at least an excellent foundation
of Unix/AIX, DB2/SQL, J2EE and large transactional systems.
Ability to create a detailed QA Plan (Test Plan) and communicate key areas of testing scope.
Ability to provide technical QA estimates and articulate the key areas of risk associated with a proposed technical solution.
Monitor test progress and report to Project QA Lead.
Fully proficient in the creation of comprehensive test scripts and cases
Execution of requirements based tests.
Execution of regression and exploratory tests.
Management of test environments for the specific test phase and the escalation and management of any issues that impact test progress.
Participation in the requirements analysis and review process to ensure testability of requirements.
Provide Project QA Lead with technical support and guidance for all test planning, execution and closure activities.
Regularly compile and communicate test progress metrics to the Project QA Lead in order to provide full visibility of progress.
Participation in project meetings and technical meetings internally.
Application of key technical principles and techniques to evaluate systems during development.
Recording, reporting, and tracking defects to accurately depict the status of the system.
Ensuring that there is a consistent method of reporting improvement opportunities in order to promote consistent innovation
and improvement.
Key activities:
Develop QA Plans for projects within the project portfolio.
Develop test cases and test scripts for project in line with pre-defined structures and techniques.
Execute planned test cases and ensure detailed logging of progress.
Produces test schedule outlining proposed plan for testing on a daily basis along with re-planning activities due to any impact on test phases.
Provide metric inputs into daily test status reports for project lead.
Develop test summary documents outlining actual execution vs planned.
Escalation of any risks or issues that impact testing and the quality of the product.
