Job Description: Performs all activities necessary to process US payrolls, including checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards, maintaining time and attendance records, entering new hires into the payroll system, posting changes in pay and tax status, and miscellaneous changes Performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, processing requests for pay check advances, and processing terminations. maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management. Solely responsible for all payroll and related activities. Typically requires 2 to 5 years of payroll experience and may require an degree or equivalent training CPP designation preferred.
