The successful applicant will be responsible for developing application design as well as coding and managing a small team. Responsible for developing and designing BI solutions including • Requirements gathering. • Analysing requirements. • Conducting workshops. • Designing solutions. • Building and testing BI solutions. Essential • Development experience in IBM Information Server Suite. • Strong knowledge of data warehouse principles, architecture and technologies. • Deep knowledge of database principles and of dimensional and normalised modelling concepts. • Proven experience in logical and physical and dimensional data modelling, physical database design and performance optimisation. • Working experience in ETL development in a data warehouse environment using Datasatge 7 & 8 • Comprehensive experience in the use of ETL, data cleansing and data scrubbing tools. • Excellent SQL knowledge and experience. • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills. • Must be confident with all stages of the Business Intelligence lifecycle, from requirements, data modelling, through to reporting. • In depth understanding of systems development lifecycle (SDLC), application development methodology and enterprise data warehouse and BI principles. • Proven experience in working in a team environment and the ability to work autonomously within established methodologies and standards. • Proven written and oral communication skills and demonstrated effective customer liaison including effective leadership, coordination, influencing, negotiation and dispute resolution skills. • Committed to provide a high level of customer service to internal business groups. • Ability to manage competing demands of multiple, simultaneous projects. • Commitment to safety and safe behaviours in the workplace • Ability to identify and act on issues that affect the implementation of OHS, EEO principles and ethical practices Role:   Software Developer Industry Type:   IT-Software/Software Services Functional Area:   IT Software - DBA / Datawarehousing Keywords:   DataStage; Data Stage; IBM DataStage     Desired Candidate Profile     Education:   UG - Any Graduate, PG - Any PG Course Desirable • Experience in OLAP and reporting tool technologies. • Experience in Middleware/EAI technologies. • Knowledge of XML technologies (e.g. XML schema, DTDs, XPath, XQuery and XSL). • Previous experience in data migration and data cleansing projects.     Company Profile     Oakton Global Technology Service Center (I) Pvt lt     http://www.oakton.com.au     Oakton (an Australian MNC) provides specialist end-to-end IT services to plan, deliver and operate business systems, as well as business consulting, financial management and assurance services.
