Your Opportunity:
Senior QA Engineer will play a key role in the testing and automation effort of enterprise software. You will contribute to the QA team to assure quality for ILM suite of products. Our Ideal Candidate:
You will be be a motivated, experienced and a seasoned professional with a thorough understanding of QA funtionalities. You will exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, proven research and documentation skills throught out. Work with-in cross functional team using your problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills.
Your Responsibilities:
* Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications
* Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
* Design, develop and maintain test programs including test tools and automated test suites
* Execute manual (ad hoc), automated and benchmarking test cases
* Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues
* Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review.
* Communicate effectively with developers and QA peers and other stakeholders in the QA organization.
* Execute planned testing tasks and provide timely and accurate analysis of findings
* Analyze test results to identify the issues and generate QA status report
* Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of problems
* Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize responsibilities based on changing requirements (such as urgent customer problems). Deliverable reviews have few actions.
* Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
* Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
* Costs efforts, devises and meets project schedules
* Provide functional reviews in related areas of expertise.
* Mentors others involved in the same work.
* Work with problem tracking system and customer tickets.
* Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Able to communicate or present to the whole product team and occasionally across products. Interacts with and influences other groups on same product and cross product groups.
* Conducts cross-department talks/demos.
Required Skill:
To grab this opportunity and hold the challenges in the role, you will need to exhibit these skills/experience -
* BS/MS in Computer Science
* Expertise in software testing methodology and test processes. Ability to build test plans and test cases.
* More than 7 years of Industry Software Quality Assurance experience
* Expertise in writing SQL queries (strong knowledge of SQL)
* Expertise in developing automated tests for regression tests automation ( strong knowledge of shell, Perl, other scripting languages in asset)
* Ability/experience working in Windows and Unix type of environments (servers)
* General programming knowledge in asset (ex: C++ for source code coverage)
* Expertise in Automation using QTP or other Automation Tool
* Experience with one of the major RDBMS
* Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
* Ability to self-manage and work within cross-functional team.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, proven research and documentation skills
