Job Summary & Responsibilities:
Technology Financial Services (TFS) department, whose role in general is to provide strategic financial advice and analysis to Technology Division management. As well as, establish and maintain appropriate financial controls, policies and procedures, and the efficient processing related to the Technology expense base including headcount and capital investments.
Within TFS Technology, we support the Global Planning and Budgeting processes in support of firm and divisional management initiatives.
Our key deliverables are used by the CFO and by senior management in throughout the Firm.
We provide monthly, quarterly and yearly Budget, Project, Allocation, and analytical reporting capability. Our users include people from all Divisions and Offices of the Firm.

- Delivering critical Headcount & Project information to senior management intelligently, accurately, and meaningfully
- Empowering global users to identify and analyze costs across all services and activities. This analysis ultimately impacts key business decisions.
- Add efficiencies, value, and knowledge.
We rely heavily on Data Warehousing and utilize best of breed tools to support transformation, master data management and business intelligence.
Our applications include custom development of java / database processes as well as a great reliance on the innovative use and extension of tools from vendors such as Oracle, IBM, Informatica and Adobe.
RESPONSIBILIITES:
The primary responsibility will be to understand Technology Financial Services’ (TFS) business and functional requirements and to help develop technical solutions to these. In addition the candidate will be required to gain knowledge of the existing system and product lines in order to support the system and clients who use it.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects in the team, with a mix of both a functional and a technical aspects and the opportunity to learn the business from experts.
This is a developer role and candidates would expect to spend much of their time on code development activities, working with the technology teams and technical architects globally. However, the role also requires a significant amount of functional and technical analysis, working closely with the TFS user group in order to gather requirements and produce designs. The remainder of the time would be spent on supporting new and existing applications. In addition, candidates will be involved in first line user support.
Basic Qualifications
SKILL / EXPERIENCE:
MANDATORY:
The following technical skills are considered mandatory:
• Working knowledge of Relational databases and SQL
• Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
• Practical and proven technical design and systems analysis skills, backed up by real-project implementation experience using database architecture and modelling.
• Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university
The successful candidate will also:
• Demonstrate strong problem solving & analytical skills. You are hands-on and take ownership of issues to ensure follow-through; backed up by real-project implementation experience
• Exhibit leadership qualities and strong communication skills
• Be comfortable working with a global group that both welcomes and challenges new ideas
• Learn new concepts quickly
• Have a willingness to be involved in first-line user support
• Demonstrate the ability to partner and work with clients to deliver benefit to the business
• Work and contribute in a team oriented environment
The following technical skills are desirable:
• Unix / Linux
• Experience with Relational Databases: DB2, Oracle, Sybase.
• C or C++
• Exposure to Oracle business intelligence toolset such as Interactive Reporting, Financial Reporting.
• Perl, KSH, or other scripting languages
• Working knowledge of Autosys
• Software development lifecycle proficiency and code management skills
• Experience with at least one code repository such as CVS
