Primary purpose of this position is to architect solutions while providing expertise and guidance in architecture, design, and application of industry standards. Implementation of applications based on Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) leveraging the ESB and BPM tools.
*Leads the architecture and design for the implementation of innovative applications based on Services Oriented Architecture; leverages the Oracle SOA product suite.
*Provides technical expertise and leadership to develop integration solutions spanning business processes, operating systems, applications, and hardware platforms applying EAI patterns.
*Reviews and/or designs complex enterprise integration architectures and makes recommendations based on SOA design principles.
*Develops and/or recommends standards, guidelines, and best practices for SOA governance and development.
*Partners with Business and IT leadership across functional areas to get "buy in" and builds ownership for transformation to SOA paradigm.
*Works with complicated and business critical applications across functional areas.
*Define solutions requiring integration across multiple platforms and/or business areas.
*Defines and explains the impact of requirements on system components across multiple functional areas.
*Applies external knowledge & prior experience.
*Works with development teams for development of SOA related programs.
*Works and communicates effectively with all levels of management.
*Translates business needs into technical architecture requirements.
*Negotiates acceptable solutions to complex problems across multiple business and/or technical areas.
*Defines and specifies re-usable services based on the analysis and understanding of existing legacy processes and code.
*Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications:
IT experience in a development area/role.
experience using SOA technologies using Oracle SOA Suite of products
Experience with ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) SOA frameworks.
Strong conceptual understanding of Java (i.e., managed implementation and/or development experience).
Understanding and / or development experience in Web Services.
Experience with SDLC methodology (i.e., Agile or Waterfall).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
Experience with any of the following SOA technologies: BPM, BAM WSM, UDDI compliant registry, and/or SOA Governance.
Experience with deployment and administration of J2EE Application Servers and Containers (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Spring, etc.).
Experience with Web Services Management tools and Object Oriented Programming.
Prior experience with enterprise architecture planning tools and methodologies (e.g., Aris).
Understanding and / or development experience in any of the following Web Services: WSDL, XML, SOAP, J2EE, and/or WS-Security.
