We have an immediate requirement for the position of a Senior Business Analyst for our Multinational client to be based in Bangalore

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Reports to: Application Development Manager

Business Contribution:
A Senior Business Analyst is responsible for functional support and implementation of one or more business application systems. This includes working with system users to translate business requirements into functional specifications; creating required documentation, conducting required system configurations, managing the implementation functional modules, and performing integration testing. The distinction between a Senior Business Analyst and a Business Analyst is that this individual brings more experience, leadership, mentoring and team building skills to the position, and will also assist in some aspects of planning and management of the software environments.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support of Oracle Applications 11.5.10 and later versions
2. Provide expertise in the management of Oracle Applications and other related software
3. Provide project management for projects related to enhancement of Oracle Applications and the integration of ancillary systems
4. Work closely with project teams and application users to take business requirements and turn them into actionable steps
5. Provide detailed specifications to System Administrators and Application Developers to meet business requirements
6. Work in cooperation with the Corporate IT Application Team and the Global Application Support Teams to maintain and enhance Actuant"s ERP environments.
7. Work independently yet cohesively with Actuant"s Oracle Implementation team which is a group of IT and Business core team members to implement end-to-end Oracle eBS business flow functionality like Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Demand-to-Build, Financials, Demantra, WMS, Projects, Project Accounting/Costing, Install base, Time & Labor etc.

Required Capabilities:

Core Competencies:
To hold the position of Senior Business Analyst at Actuant, an individual will be able to demonstrate all of the following core competencies:
System Implementation
Experienced in the implementation and support of critical software systems, with a focus on Oracle Applications version 11i and later.
Functional expertise in one or more of the follow business flows: order to cash, procure to pay, demand to build, financials.
In-depth Functional expertise in Oracle eBS modules like ASCP or WMS or Demandtra or iSupplier or Projects, Project Acounting/Costing, Install base and Time& Labor is a requirement.
Proven ability to provide suggested business process changes which might be instituted in addition to or instead of the proposed user requirement.
Proven ability to research and analyze multiple available commercial software solutions as responses to the business requirement and present those alternatives with criteria for decision.
Proven ability to analyze long-term technical and business impact of proposed changes on supported applications.
Must maintain documentation related to the work management and user prioritization for supported applications utilizing the methodology and procedures prescribed for use by Actuant IT.
Project Management
Proven ability to manage small to medium projects related to software implementation and the addition of new functionality.
Proven ability to manage the tasks for self and a team of functional and technical resources deployed on a project.
Proven ability to produce functional documentation.
Proven ability to track and report progress to all team members including upper management.
System Support
Proven ability to apply functional expertise to troubleshoot and diagnose reported problems.
Ability to interact with vendor support services such as Oracle"s MetaLink to assist the the diagnosis and remediation of application problems.
Ability to research and analyze multiple available commercial tools and software solutions as responses to IT requirements and present those alternatives with criteria for decision.
Ability to participate in development of methodology and procedures for use by application implementation and support personnel worldwide.
Research and Development
Demonstrate and maintain an awareness of the vendor and the vendor"s strategies related to supported commercial applications.
Demonstrate an awareness of the commercial software marketplace for those business functions supported.
Ability to write application management plans for supported applications, including timing and resources required for upgrades, migrations, or replacement.
Teamwork
Must be able to interact with database administrators, system administrators, developers, and help desk personnel to modify or create cross-functional workflows and work structures.
Must be able to both formally and informally pull together and facilitate small to mid-size teams to accomplish cross-functional tasks.

Essential Functions:
This position requires all of the functions of an Application Developer, and in addition:
* This position requires a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field.
* This position requires five or more years of relevant experience.
* This position requires 2-3 years of in-depth functional hands-on experience with 2 or more of the following Oracle eBS modules like ASCP, Demantra, WMS, iSupplier, Projects, Project Accounting/Costing, Install base, Time&Labor etc.
* A hands-on experience with Oracle OBIEE is a plus.
* Certifications from Oracle Corporation on relevant technologies is a definite plus.
* This position requires up to 40-50% travel both domestic and international to support project implementations.
* This position requires a commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
* Must be able to present materials to small to medium sized groups.
* Must be able to understand the basic concepts of budgeting and expense as applied to department and project management.
