Preferred Skills
3+ years or more experience using MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, BigData , Apache Hadoop, MYSQL, intersystems cache, HP vertica.
Expertise in DB backup and recovery procedures; utilities and tools; experience writing complex queries is strongly preferred
Demonstrable experience writing complex reports using reports designers.
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) , Oracle OCA/OCP certifications is a big plus
Expertise in designing of OLAP schema, MDX queries and ETL tools
Experience with data mining techniques, data warehouses, and dashboard tools is a plus
Pearl , Shell scripts knowledge is highly critical.
Expertise with Object relational mapping frameworks like Hibernate, iBatis, KODO JDO, Toplink etc
Experience with a range of big data architectures, including OpenStack, Hadoop, or other big data frameworks.
Broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics, NoSQL data stores, data modelling and data management, analytical tools, languages, or libraries (e.g. SAS, SPSS), with MS-BI tools and reporting software (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS)
Data interpretation skills and trend analysis, pattern identification skills from data
Good understanding of full Software Development Life Cycle in Agile methodologies.
Sound knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good interpersonal skills, able to easily network and work with teams.
Good customer focus, ability to interact with customers with ease and manage expectations
Promote good programming concepts and design principles
Qualifications:
Bachelor"s Degree in CS/ Masters in Computer Software/ or any equivalent.
3+ years in an association with a product based organisation in database design.
Course work in computer science, information systems, network administration or other related fields preferred.
Certifications: (Any 2 0r 3 mandatory)
Oracle OCA/OCP
Microsoft MCTS/MCITP
MySQL CMA
CCDH: Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop
