JOB TITLE: Business Applications Senior Developer
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Applications Senior Developer is an integral part of engineering team and will focus on design and development of Edifecs" business application products using Edifecs" core technology tools and products. The senior developer with broad knowledge in software architecture, design patterns and software development techniques will design, develop, test and maintain quality Edifecs Business Application products. The role involves good understanding of technology and domain - technology interface and ability to mentor and assist junior resources in the team. The role will involve onsite-offshore coordination and communication as well as a high technical understanding of Edifecs" solutions and the transactions that flow thru them.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop and document Business Applications built on Edifecs core products
Help Drive effective processes and establish Best Practices for Business Application development.
Assist in the acquisition of business requirements from a variety of sources
Work independently or with the team in Translating business requirements / functional specifications into detailed Technical Design.
Work independently or with the team to create complex end to end Business Flows (Routes), transaction guidelines and translators/maps to convert transitions from one format to another required.
Work in creating Business rules for the Business and product requirements
Conduct design and code reviews and mentor/guide other developers.
Maintain and support releases and pre-release Business Applications.
Ensure quality of completed products by being involved from inception through release phases of the development lifecycle
Work with Product Technical Support and Development teams when resolving customer or internal product issues
REQUIRED SKILL SET:
Bachelor"s or Master degree in computer science or engineering.
6 + years of experience in developing commercial software or business process integration. .
Knowledge and experience with Java/JavaScript/C++ programming and scripting including DOS bat files, Unix shell scripts.
Hand on experience with Oracle / MySql
Knowledge on Enterprise Integration
Knowledge on JMS/SOA/BPEL/Groovy / velocity
Experience on: XSL /XSD/XML
Knowledge and experience in enterprise integration platforms, middleware such as IBM WebSphere, TIBCO, ESB, BPEL etc. as well as e-Commerce, B2B and related technologies
such as EDI, XML, and RDBMS.Strong problem analysis, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Experience with HIPAA EDI integrations and transaction handling a strong plus.
Knowledge in Drools or other Business Rules framework is a strong plus
Edifecs product knowledge & Healthcare domain knowledge will be a strong plus.
Experience in interpreting requirements and developing technical specifications
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle. Experience with agile methodologies a plus.
Ability to work within a team or independently on major problem solving efforts
Ability to quickly grasp new technologies
Strong knowledge of BPA (Business Process Analysis) or Business Process Integration will be a strong plus
