Major Skill- Extensive development experience in OBIEE alongwith good exp of PL/SQL or SQL.
The OBIEE Developer role will include the following responsibilities:
§ Design, build, test, implement and maintain new or modified OBIEE repository (RPD) objects for the OLTP Application.
§ Proficient in OBIEE BI Repository configuration and Report/Dashboard Development.
§ Hands on experience with all OBIEE layers: Physical, Business Model, and presentation layer.
§ Write SQL queries against Oracle 10g/11g databases and analyzing data.
§ Participate in design of new data warehouse tables as needed or to fix the defects or issues.
§ Develop OBIEE Dashboards & BI Publisher Reports using Oracle OBIEE 11g.Prepare and maintain documentation for all new or modified OBIEE objects.
§ Good understanding of PL-SQL to build ETL Layer. Hands on experience on OLTP applications and implementation of such applications in OBIEE.
§ Design and conduct unit tests of new or changed RPD objects, plan and develop test cases, scenarios, scripts to validate functionality or OBIEE Solutions.
§ Interact with business units to understand their needs and design appropriate OBIEE solutions. Support business operations via OBIEE including: investigating defects or issues.
§ Providing full and comprehensive documentation of all changed and new components so that they can be successfully promoted from Development to UAT and ultimately into Production.
§ Liaising with Team Members and Environment Management team to provide refreshed Development and testing environments before commencing work.
§ Liaising with Testing team to schedule and execute regression test processes, and to create new regression test scripts as directed
§ Liaising with Development Team to integrate application solutions into the end to end systems environment as directed.
§ Working closely with the Team Lead and other Team members to ensure that the changes being developed are fit for purpose and meet the documented business requirements.
Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
The key skills for this role are:
§ 3+ years OBIEE repository design, OBIEE analysis and dashboard design, Web logic administration, BI Publisher reports design. [OBIEE 11.1.1.6 & higher]
§ 2+ years Oracle 10g & Good understanding of Oracle 11g.
§ 2+ years Unix
§ 2+ years Release / Configuration Management
§ 2+ years Web Application Deployment [Weblogic, Websphere & Jboss]
§ Good experience of working in Multiuser Development (MUD) environment.
§ Citrix
§ RDBMS
§ Shell Scripting
§ MS Office [MS Excel, MS Word]
§ SVN.
Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)
§ Awareness of development methodologies [SSADM, RAD, RUP, AGILE]
§ Working with software vendor support, maintenance and change functions.
§ Familiarity with environment management and testing disciplines
