Position: Oracle DBA Specialist (L3 Support)

Job Description:
Oracle Database DBA on HP UX, AIX, Linux & Windows.
- The job includes working with the various technology teams, vendors, and management of new hardware and operating systems infrastructure.
Databases on HA configuration using 9i/10g RAC on various hardware like XP 512, EVA and EMC Disk Arrays - require comprehensive knowledge, along with extensive and varied experience in these technical areas:
- Develop solutions to meet or exceed requirements. Includes knowledge to perform Remote software installations, upgrades, migrations and apply patches.
- Experience with deployment and deployment management of Databases on HP-Unix, AIX, Solaris and other UNIX as well as on windows systems.
* Implementing Backup Solutions with native tools as well as RMAN with 3rd Party Backup solutions like Omniback Data protector, Veritas netbackup, etc.
- Hands on expertise on HA environment - RAC, OPFS as well as as sound understanding of OS Clustering - HACMP, MC SG, SGERAC and other high-availability/ fault-tolerance technologies.
* Knowledge of virtualization and system consolidation. Cloud computing knowledge will be a huge plus.
* Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NFS, TCP/IP and networking services.
* Good knowledge of Database security issues and ability to design and implement security measures.
* Experience in disaster recovery solutions and testing.
* Performance tuning, performance management, and capacity planning experience.
* Extensive Knowledge of UNIX, shell/Perl Scripting and kernel Parameters.
* Familiarity with Middle tier - applications servers, web servers, etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Experience in Oracle DBA with HP UX, Solaris, Linux & Windows?
2. Oracle 10g/9i/8i RDBMS Database Administration
3. Oracle Certification is Must
4. Knowledge of SQL Server Desired
5. Backup and recovery
6. Database instance creation
7. Monitoring and tuning of database and application SQL
8. Provision and capacity planning for adequate database storage.
9. Security and integrity of database environment.
10. Perform updates, patch installation and audits
11. Oracle Replication, Oracle Partitioning, and Oracle Names
12. Knowledge of SQLNET, INET, ODBC, TCP/IP
13. Oracle RMAN Scripting in Perl, csh, ksh, sh and sqlplus
14. Supporting production clustering experience required (Active Active - RAC), OPFS or MCSG
* 10th, 12th and Graduation must be regular (Diploma candidates are not eligible)
* Min. 6 yrs of relevant experience in Oracle DBA.
