POSITION SUMMARY:
Lead the Business Intelligence program and practices to deliver relevant, timely and insightful information to the business. The ideal candidate will champion and rally the organization around BI, in a culture of data-driven decision-making, with a demand for business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable. As a BI Engineer working on various analytics platforms, the BI Engineer will be developing and supporting the analytic technologies that give customers flexible and structured access to their data. The BI Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing a platform using third-party and in-house reporting tools, modeling metadata, building reports and administering the platform software; including also some requirements gathering, data modeling, report creation and automation, end user education and training.
Overall Purpose of Job is Business Intelligence Lead with hands-on experience in data warehouses and BI to design and develop Business Reports, Dashboards with Business Objects.
Duties:
Design and Development of Business Objects & OBIEE universes, RPDs, catalogs, dashboards and reports;
Provide production support.
Responsible for leading DWH Report design & development activities for multiple projects along with end-user training, self-service BI portal and maintenance of all aspects of the Business Objects and other BI tool suite and the production and development BO environment.
Interact with users to document, analyze business requirements and deliver results
Lead medium to large scale projects
On-going research into new technologies and end user tools to enhance the productivity, quality and performance of the result set.
Experience/Abilities:
BI Developer with strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and dimensional databases.
He/she should possess strong systems architecture and design skills.
Must have excellent communication skills to interact with end users.
Should have excellent problem solving skills.
Experience in with various SDLC methodologies.
Ability to work effectively under aggressive deadlines and in challenging settings.
Must have 5 to 10 years" experience with Business Objects, Data Warehouse Dimensional Modeling Design, Database and SQL. Experience of other BI tools such as OBIEE
Nice to have Mobile application and Hadoop experience.
