Job Summary
Supports development of business system applications, reports, and databases to support system and user requirements. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents will regularly exercise substantial and discretionary decision-making authority. A successful candidate works effectively in integrated teams composed of users, developers, engineers, managers, and numerous other support functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Strong in Oracle11g, PL/SQL, SQL, Triggers, Stored Procedures and Functions with experienced in handling large transactions in terabytes. Database developer role with strong PL/SQL experience (e.g., PL/SQL Oracle-based applications, reports, triggers, stored procedures, etc). Additional skills that would be nice-to-have --but not required-- are Oracle DBA certification and Java programming certification and experience.
* Creation of data models, database schemas, database reports, and database scripts
* Experience with Oracle partitioning and Oracle streaming (Golden Gate)
* Responsible for providing database management support including performance measuring and tuning techniques.
* Responsible for database development and test including database refresh, upgrade and migration activities.
* Responsible for Requirement Analysis, Design, Develop, Unit Test and Debug the applications.
Our ideal candidate will have junior-to-mid level experience in all of the above to support our current and anticipated backlog of work for Chicago and Tolling, plus maintenance support of others.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
BS degree in electrical engineering, computer science or other related technical discipline plus five years of experience, or MS degree with at least three years of experience; Must have strong experience with SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and data warehousing. Must work effectively as a team member and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication skills. Must use typical office automation products (e.g., Jira Greenhopper, Sharepoint, MS Office, etc).
