Looking out for candidates for the position of Software Developer/Technical Specialist-OBIEE+Informatica with one of my Financial Services client for Gurgaon location.

Key Responsibilities
q Work with the global Reporting projects team to understand the requirements of the project
q Understand the current landscape of reporting systems and various reports used by Equity & Research business
q Engage with the strategic Oracle data platform being developed to understand the data being provisioned and the data access layers
q Problem analysis and resolution - with a focus on Data analysis
q Designing and development of best-in-class reporting solutions as per the business requirements using the strategic data sources
q Document technical design specifications for report definitions and layout
q Execute changes: designing, timely development and testing
q Work with Project Managers, Technical Specialists and other subject matter experts to identify and understand the ongoing issues in production environment
q Troubleshoot tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary
q Participate in SW development lifecycle at various stages (Requirement, Testing, SIT, UAT etc) for validation & verification of proposed solution for a business problem
Job Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
q B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University.
q 5 to 9 years of relevant industry experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition
q Proven record of achievements as a reporting developer for global applications with an understanding of internationalisation aspects
q Experience of complete project lifecycle execution from Requirements Analysis to Production Support.
q 3rd Party Products integration experience and experience of integrating them into a systems solution.
q Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams.
Essential Skills
q Well versed in
q 2-3 years of experience in RDBMS in writing PL/SQL in Oracle 9i or above
q Good understanding of different data workloads and appropriate design considerations
q Candidate is expected to have an eye for detail and be able to detect and resolve functional issues.
q Knowledge of any well known software development life-cycle methodology (preferably Iterative development)
q Experience in implementing high security features for sensitive data.
q Experience of working with Data Warehouse (Oracle preferred)
q Experience in performance tuning of applications
Desirable Skills / Experience
q Experience or familiarity of Sybase, T-SQL
q Experience of re-engineering legacy BI/Reporting systems
q Exposure or familiarities to reporting tools used in Financial Industry like Vermillion, Business Objects etc.
q Exposure to ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) tools such as Informatica
q Experience or knowledge of service based application development and integration
q Understanding of the Investment Management industry, particularly Equities Portfolio Management processes.
q Exposure to the J2EE set of technologies and the Websphere family of products
q Experience of developing application frameworks
