Experience
* 5+ years of experience in Testing of SOA services and Portal UI with minimum of 2 years in a lead role
* Expertise in Java/J2EE, XML, BPEL, SOA (preferably Mule)
* Expertise in testing tools like SOAP UI, Junit
* Expertise in Reporting tools JIRA, BugZilla
* Expertise in version tool SVN/Git
* Hands on unit testing, functional testing, system/regression testing, performance/load testing, black/grey/white box testing
Skills Required
* Strong technical background in testing and designing automation strategies & framework
* Identify areas for improvement and drive test initiatives including development of test harnesses and tools
* Knowledge of various testing techniques, approaches and best practices
* Strong object oriented programming, debugging, and test automation skills with Java / C# / C/C++
* Excellent knowledge of Web Services, WCF, SOA, XML, SOAP, REST
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, debugging and analytical skills
* Ability to perform system-wide root cause analyses and drive improvements
* Engage with customers as needed, in your area of specialization, to provide guidance, review designs
* Provide technical advice and assistance to junior members of the team on automation strategies and coding options.
* Must be a strong team player, detail oriented, self-motivated and perform well under pressure
Roles & Responsibilities
* Test planning and management
* Test coverage analysis
* Monitor the deliverables
* Obtain customer acceptance on the deliverables
* Resolve technical issues raised by the team member and provide direction
* Prepare, review and approve the test scenario document
* Prepare, review the test scripts/code
* Manage execution of various testing like System and UAT testing
* Manage execution of regression and performance/load testing
* Ensure tests are conducted as per plan
* Ensure defects reporting and co-ordinate between dev team and test team in resolving the defects
* Report status to the offshore/onsite manager
