| | Responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, assessment and implementation of new technologies.
Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
Provide Information Technology with a long-term perspective on the relationship of database technology to the business opportunities facing the company.
Experience with some of the modern relational databases
Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
Capable of configuring popular database engines
Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL. Knowledge of programming paradigms and logic.
2. Strong experience in Database Administration in SQL Server ( 2005 and all following versions).
3. Should be able to meet SLAs as per the priorities.
4. Should be able to assist technical development teams in advising them to implement best database usage practices.
5. Should maintain Documentation as per the Industry Standards.
6. Strong communications skills and ability to document and present complex designs to a wider audience.
7. Good to have (MCDBA / MCTS - SQL Server) certification with exposure to 24*7 Production support.
