Role Background:
This role will be responsible for the technical architecture and design of the applications developed by the InfoAxon Technologies OST (open source team) using the best of the breed Java based OSS components and its integration. This role will be responsible for managing the OST architecture team in following ways:
* When a new application or enhancements are requested by customer this role will be responsible to specify the OSS components that need to be integrated to achieve this development.
* Provide the broader architecture blueprint based on which the Lead Developers and other architecture team members can implement the low level design.
* Provide the technical leadership in terms of assisting the lead developers and technical architects by assisting them in Low Level Design, Design Documentation, Provide technical inputs by brainstorming internally.
* This role may also have to liaise with other Customer Business Groups to seek clarifications on requirements that impact the low level design. Once understood this role will then provide the insights required to the internal architecture team and the various developers.
* Conduct continuous research and design activities for adding other tools by using the Infoaxon OSS Maturity Model to the OSS repository. This will require selecting the OSS tools, Evaluation of these tools, customization for requirements
Job Responsibilities:
Programming, Design and Architecture consulting in Professional Open Source technologies
Responsible for defining standards not just for architecture but also standards for development
Provide the technical leadership in terms of assisting the lead developers and technical architects by assisting them in Low Level Design, Design Documentation, Provide technical inputs by brainstorming internally
Conduct continuous research and design activities for adding other tools by using the Infoaxon OSS Maturity Model to the OSSExpert toolkit
Skill Set Requirements:
This role requires a good mix of business and technical skills. Proven experience of implementing similar role description will be a big plus.
4-6 years of experience in Programming, Design and Architecture consulting in Java J2EE Frameworks (Spring) (Mandatory), spring, Hibernate(Mandatory), JBOSS Application Server(Mandatory), SOA (REST, ESB (Mule or any other), W3c Standard (XSL,XQuery,XForm,XPATH)(Mandatory any one)
Must have designed 2 big application ( DB layer and core application layer)
Development Environments such as Eclipse IDE, Ant, Continuous Integration, Open Source development tools. Detailed knowledge of above tools is a MUST
Proven experience in using Open Source tools
Understanding of the OSS tools and development practices such as Iterative and Agile development will be desirable. Good knowledge and understanding of the Open Source model will be very desirable.
Excellent communication and Business consulting skills are also a fundamental requirement. Should be able to converse with Business users in simple terms and language (i.e. avoiding technical jargon) while at the same time be able to provide deep technical expertise to the architecture team.
Experience of development, design of software applications and products preferably in Finance Domain
Good experience of Software Architecture design tools such as UML, Enterprise Architect (Very desirable) with proven capability to provide low level design artifacts such as Class Diagrams, Component Diagrams, and Software UML models.
Responsible for defining standards not just for architecture but also standards for development
Responsible for defining a SOA (similar) architecture and responsible for all services developed
Responsible to conduct frequent audits to ensure compliance for the standards set
Custodian of all stacks (other than application)
Business knowledge is preferable but not mandatory
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with the internal OST team
Finance vertical experience is preferable but not mandatory Business interaction will be more by the Lead developer
