⢠Should have worked in SOA initiatives that involve external interfaces to outside world (Partner Applications, Supplier Applications, Third-Party integration, etc)
⢠Should have worked closely with Business stakeholders in translating business vision, business strategy to architectural elements.
⢠Should have worked through all lifecycle stages of SOA initiative and demonstrated business value of SOA in terms of financial values and/or time-to-market
Roles and Responsibilities:
⢠Break-down broader business requirements from specific Business Units / Programs into Service Candidates
⢠Develop the service design considering the standard rules of granularity and adherence to principles of service orientation (Autonomy, abstraction, statelessness, discoverability, etc)
⢠Design the Service Model in terms of its list of operations, the data model (input/output schemas), its functional semantics (transactional, etc)
⢠Top-down and bottom-up approaches for service identification
⢠Collaborate closely with the back-end system specialist (SAP/Seibel/etc) to drill-down the service design into the service data flow and functional diagrams. This requires identifying the right interfaces to use depending on the back end system.
⢠Validate the service design from the context of its actual use (The end-to-end view).
⢠Identify Service Provisioning requirements/challenges if any. Identify the operating conditions for the service (Target environment challenges, etc).
