In East Africa, Pwani Oil is one of the leaders in the world of vegetable oils, fats and soaps; all originating from palm. Our journey started in 1985 with a capacity of 15 MT refinery and over a period of last 25 years we have achieved the capacity of refining 400 MT Crude Palm Oil per day at Jomvu, Mombasa. The present modernized plant is converting the crude vegetable oil into a number of premium oils, fats and soap brands; thus serving the EA community every day, every hour.
The new soap noodles plant, installed in 2008 at Kikambala (about 25 Km north from Central Business District) uses Belgian technology to produce high quality soap noodles (100 MT/ day) which is exported to different countries as a base material for making quality beauty soaps. An additional facility at Kikambala is also busy producing 10 MT of glycerine every day. The toilet soap finishing line is an Italian technology from Mazzoni, producing one ton of 'Beauty soap' every hour.
Job Description:-
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The incumbent will be responsible for-
 Providing appropriate business solutions using ORACLE technologies
 Timely and quality delivery of the ORACLE ERP and other business applications
 Maintenance and Enhancement of ORACLE and other business applications.
JOB DESCRIPTION
 Studying the current business process and performing requirements gathering
 Performing GAP analysis and preparing solution presentation for review
 Configuration of Process Manufacturing, ASCP, MRP, MSMRP and other modules of ORACLE
 Providing status updates on weekly basis to the project management office
 Preparing and updating relevant AIM/OUM documentation during the project
 Identify and document business processes, including opportunities for process improvement in conjunction with other project team members
 Identify and document requirements for system design and implementation of applications, reports, modifications and interfaces
 Work closely with the technical consultants to address technical issues, enhancements, customization and any other requirements
 Train super users as well as other team members on ORACLE
 Perform end user trainings and develop relevant training material using ORACLE UPK
 Perform Data Migration and other go live activities. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The incumbent will be responsible for-
 Analyze and document reporting requirements and maintain necessary approvals before progressing on a project.
 Maintain technical specifications for reports and interfaces with proper commenting as required for others to understand the code.
 Testing and troubleshooting of existing and new reports with respect to data and performance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
 Work with the super users and IT functional consultants to define the reporting requirements of the organizations.
 Providing status updates on weekly basis to the project management office
 Preparing and updating relevant AIM/OUM documentation during the project
 Work closely with the functional consultants to address technical issues, enhancements, customization and any other requirements
 Maintaining Report versioning and list of all customizations performed in order to test the same during patch rollout or version up gradation.
 Train other members of the project team on ORACLE
 Perform Data Migration and other go live activities.
Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 2 to 3 years of hands on experience in writing reports for ORACLE Applications.
 Good working knowledge of ORACLE EBS Data Structure and reporting tools like ORACLE Developer Studio 10, ORACLE Reports 6i and 9i, Apex, UPK and Quest Toad for ORACLE.
 Expertise in PL/SQL and other query building tools.
 Knowledge of Linux Environment is a plus.
 Good working knowledge ORCALE Application Developer Responsibility.
 Demonstrate the ability to organize and plan own work and also work effectively as part of a large team.
Soft Skills
 Good communication and documentation skills in order to evaluate and document the requirements of report design accurately.
 Team Player as well as a strong individual performer.
 Experience on how to plan, design, develop and implement projects single headedly.
