Daily, Monthly & Quarterly Support for the Interface Application for Inbounds Feeds to GL. It is responsible for the end-to-end development, delivery and support of technology applications for the company"s Finance division. These applications are centred on the accounting ledgers and include legacy, tactical and strategic tools. The primary general ledger deployed in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) is based on Oracle Financials and includes inbound feed solutions and reporting solutions based on Oracle data warehouse using Discoverer & .Net plus Hyperion reporting on Essbase cubes. Within Finance Technology, this role requires the successful candidate to provide operational functional expertise for a global Oracle Financials based general ledger application to Finance, Middle-office & Operations staff based in offices throughout Asia Responsibilities. In addition to GL, the installation also includes AP & FA modules. Responsibilities BAU Support * Work closely with the Finance Operations group and with other technology groups in supporting the production Oracle Financials platform on a day-to-day BAU basis. * Collaborate within the team to cover each financial month-end close (may require work at weekends and during public holidays). * Provides solutions directly to end users to help them resolve accounting and reporting issues. * Supports relationship with Finance, Operations, Middle-office and other technology groups * Reviews and optimises system flows and control. Functional Analysis * Works alongside Finance, Operations and Middle-office business partners to understand business requirements, to support production support queries and to identify new technology initiatives * Acts as a functional analyst in projects that will enhance or upgrade the general ledger platform to enhance control and to support business growth * Acts as a functional analyst in projects that will integrate new applications with the general ledger platform. * Provides Oracle AP functional knowledge * Provides Oracle FA functional knowledge * Provides functional testing expertise in GL, AP & FA and coordinates end to end integration testing & UAT. Requirements Essential * Strong production support background using Oracle General Ledger application. Oracle is the preferred platform. 5+ years" experience required. * Solid foundation in the basics of SQL. 3 years" experience required. * Functional & Technical knowledge and ability to articulate ideas and solutions clearly. * Strong Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel functions like pivot tables. * Working experience in sizable global organisations * Ability to work in a complex, global environment with teams located throughout the US, Europe and Asia. Desirable * Exposure to Toad software for ad hoc queries to support testing, analysis, problem solving & user requests. * Accounting knowledge. * Prior experience in the financial services industry (banking & securities firms). * Exposure to other Finance/Accounting apps such as regulatory reporting * Able to work Hong Kong hours Oracle FUNTIONAL Ideal candidate should have  Analytical skills to understand the requirements and design a solution  Hands on knowledge in configuration of AP/FA modules. Knowledge of GL module will be a plus.  SQL/PL SQL expertise  Discoverer Reports  Should be familiar with converting vendor data, Invoice history data, Fixed assets processes  Experience working with iSetups  Experience in understanding the localization patches based on the country requirements and help DBAs with application of patches  Knowledge of Macros (Excel) is a plus. We use Macros to connect to the Oracle database and provide invoice upload and reporting functionality.
