Job Description:
Position: Oracle EBS - Production Support Engineer.
Position Summary:
This position provides Techno-Functional expertise to support the operations of the entire Oracle e-Business application environment.
Major Duties:
* Provide technical and functional support to business users of the Oracle E-Business Suite Application modules, including: General Ledger (GL), Payables (AP), Purchasing (PO), Inventory (INV), Project Accounting (PA), Fixed Assets (FA), iProcurement, iExpenses as well as any modules added to the Oracle EBS.
* Support EBS system administration functions used in CIFA(Comcast Integrated Financial Application) for day to day requests.
* Provide Techno-Functional support (root cause trouble shooting analysis) for user & system level issues. Coordinate and interact with Oracle Support Services (i.e., Metalink / My Oracle Support Portal), as necessary.
* Coordinate migrations/deployment of changes between the different Oracle Application environments (i.e., Development, Test, and Production). Rotating off-hours support involvement will be required.
* Work with business counterparts to produce documentation for system change requests and translate changes into coherent, timely, solutions.
* Participate in projects related testing of Oracle e-Business suite and peripheral applications, as requested.
* Technical expertise to handle EBS Support tickets and write scripts (SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX) as required.
* Work with DBA team for Module level patches and cloning activities.
* Work with EBS Development team for reviewing custom design documents (RICE components) & code reviews.
* Work with Remedy Tickets and resolve as per SLA.
* Work closely with Business users & 3rd party vendors to resolve tickets in timely manner.
* Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Required experience and attributes:
* 5+ years experience in directly supporting Oracle E-Business suite, release 11i.
* 5+ years experienced with SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Scripting.
* Good understanding of Oracle application modules, and working knowledge and experience with the application data model and tables structures.
* Knowledge and understanding of business process in one or more of the following: purchasing, inventory, accounting, accounts payables, fixed assets, and projects.
* Experience with Workflow Administration and Workflow Builder for Oracle APPS.
* Experience interacting with Oracle Support (Metalink/My Oracle Support).
* Self-motivated team player with strong work ethics.
* Detail oriented.
* Expertise in Oracle EBS Customazation/Personalizations.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities.
