Position Summary
Rimini Street is responsible for scoping, designing, developing, and delivering software updates for a variety of tax, regulatory compliance, and reporting updates across more than 190 countries for Clients using our service.
The Technical Analyst role is responsible for translating the functional analysis into detailed product specific change instructions by understanding the functional changes and determining how to implement in Client systems by product line.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide in-depth technical knowledge of Product Line specific applications across multiple releases.
* Translate functional analysis into technical specifications and or pseudo code
* Critically evaluate functional requirements to determine the optimal technical solution
* Define step-by-step instructions for implementing configuration changes
* Develop application break fixes for critical product defects
* Troubleshoot problems and coordinate steps for problem solving (debug code)
* Formulate test strategies and review test plans, working with the coding and testing team
* Work closely with the Technical, Coding, and Testing teams to ensure adherence to the functional specification and that all requirements are being satisfied
* Implement code, table, configuration, object updates, etc.
* Implement application break fixes for critical product defects
* Perform thorough unit testing on all updates
* Support QA team during testing cycles
 
Minimal Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor or Master"s Degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
Experience
* Extensive functional experience (4+ years) with PeopleSoft HRMS or FSCM, as related to tax and regulatory changes (i.e. North American Payroll)
* A track record of successful roles in several Enterprise Application projects (including full development and full QA lifecycle processes)
* Proficiency with Product Line specific development tools (i.e. PeopleTools, PeopleCode, COBOL, Application Engine etc)
* Experience creating and reviewing detailed functional documentation and test plan
* Knowledge of Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Informix, Sybase or other RDBMS
* Product Line specific configuration experience
* 4+ years supporting development and testing functions
* Worked remotely in a virtual environment
Skills
* Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
* Strong knowledge of key application functionality, tables and relationships
* Excellent development skills using PeopleSoft toolset
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
* Ability to work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations
