JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for
# Assisting with maintaining materialized views, staging tables, packages and procedures for end user dashboards and reporting.
# Assist with the source development work for Teradata Staging, Core and Semantic Layers.
# Providing support on the creation of data warehouse queries.
# Creating and maintaining dashboards and reports using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 10g/11g, as required.
# Assisting with production support of dashboards and reports and other aspects of EDW
# Supporting the EDW team with data issue resolution.
# Assist with the source development work for ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes in Informatica as required.
Required Skills
# Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Dimensional Modeling is required
# Knowledge of front-end dashboard systems is required
# Good Dimensional Modeling skills and ability to develop customized dashboard solutions is required
# Import/Export of metadata, Schemas, DB objects between different environments (Dev/Test/Prod) is desirable.
# Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite Applications is essential
# Experience in Oracle application development using SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, Triggers, Packages, etc. is required.
# Experience in analyzing and fine tuning SQL, PL/SQL queries in an Oracle environment is required.
# Experience in documentation including requirements specs and technical documentation is required
# Good understanding of information systems and their relationship to business functions is required
# Ability to interact with others within an organization is required
# A firm understanding of the development life cycle including the analytical skills necessary to satisfy testing documentation and Change Management requirements is required
# Experience using Informatica 9.0 or greater would be a plus
# Ability to integrate various data sources with Multiple Relational Databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Lotus Notes and data from flat files would be a plus
# Experience with Teradata Data Warehouse and Teradata SQL would be a plus
# Experience with OBIEE RPD administration and development is a plus
# Experience with OBIEE Web Catalogue is a plus
# Experience with the use of security, hierarchies, application roles and LDAP in a dashboard environment is a plus
# Knowledge of Java, JSP, HTML, XML development a plus.
# Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 200x, Lotus Notes and UNIX desired.
# Good communication and organization skills required
# Team contributor
# Excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills is required
# Ability to work autonomously and proactively is required.
