As a senior member of the technical consulting team, the Programmer Analyst, Sr. works with customers on assigned projects and support engagements to identify solutions to business and functional/technical problems. Activities include:
* executing and completing assigned work within the time and scope negotiated with the customer
* evaluating existing business processes and procedures, making recommendations for improvement
* implementing systems and programming changes that best fit the customer's needs
* ensuring customer satisfaction until the project is complete
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides high-quality customer consultation and support.
Provides technical assistance by responding to requests and incidents including errors, problems, or questions about application software.
Monitors, tracks, and reports project risks, issues, milestones and work completed, as well as work that is underway. Provides leadership for the customer enabling them to stay on time and on task.
Interacts with the customer and other consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications for conversions, reporting, interfaces and customizations.
Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
Facilitates application prototyping sessions as well as providing insight into best practice methodologies.
Programs and unit tests modifications and/or updates.
Evaluates and modifies systems, where appropriate, relative to the customer business practices.
Provides support in developing testing methodology and test scripts for use during upgrades, patch application and customizations. Works with the customer to test and confirm modifications and/or updates meet specifications.
Provides customer high-quality installation guides, change management and other appropriate documentation.
Trains end users or technical support staff to use programs. Reviews performance of programs after implementation.
Mentors and trains less experienced consultants and reviews their work.
Works with practice leadership to develop practice initiatives that promote growth and development within the practice.
Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and self-starter attitude.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Technical Skills:
Oracle RDBMS programming including SQL, PL/SQL and the use of stored procedures, functions and triggers.
UNIX shell scripting
Java programming including UI development and web service interfaces
C programming including Oracle PRO*C
Knowledge of Oracle utilities such as SQL*Loader, SQL*Plus
Higher Education domain and knowledge with 6 or more years related experience desired.
Has obtained expert knowledge in multiple modules/disciplines in ERP applications, related 3rd-party products, and/or other systems over 5+ years.
Has broad-based, in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience implementing ERP and/or other systems.
Excellent time-management, planning and interpersonal skills.
Effectively manage scope and customer expectations on individual assignments.
Must have the ability to work effectively with end-users, gain their confidence, understand their technical and operational needs and translate them into viable technical solutions. Superior verbal and written skills, encompassing complete understanding on the English language with exceptional communications skills. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Experience with 3rd party reporting tools such as Cognos, Brio, Argos, Discover, Oracle Warehouse Builder, etc.
Oracle Certified Associate or professional certification
