Position: DM/AM (Purchase)
Location: Bangalore )Bommasandra)
Experience:8-13 yrs
Qualification: BE/BTech/Diploma
• Handle procurement cycles, lead times and purchasing requirements within overall business process of acquisition of goods or services, and minimization of response time while ensuring needs are met in a timely, satisfactory and cost effective manner
• Build supplier, category and market understanding through performance management, research and stakeholder briefings which result in the management of commercial issues throughout the commissioning and procurement cycle.
• Procurement of indigenous and Imported raw materials, packing material, Capex, Spares including vendor negotiation
• Planning / Budgeting / Policy guidelines for purchase of RM / PM to meet production plans
• Prepares technical specifications for request for proposals, including terms and conditions
• and evaluation criteria.
• Tendering and Tender negotiations
• Inventory control
• Vendor Development and supplier accreditation
• Effective proactive liaison with other departments / Project Engineers in order to forecast / plan and meet the targets
• Maintaining purchasing information such Vendor performance, capabilities, etc.
• Determine the appropriate source selection for materials, services, considering cost, quality and reliability.
• Work closely with project management/site offices and accounts department on all relevant issues such as quality, delivery payments etc.
• Ensures compliance to quality, safety & environmental standards as per ISO
• Assisting Q.A. In RM/PM vendor audits
• Cost reduction through development of alternate suppliers and alternate materials.
• Track new technologies & trends in the domestic & global arena. Keep abreast of market conditions, new developments and techniques of manufacture.
• Problem solving
• Implement latest strategy and process for achieving uninterrupted supply chain at best price and for best quality.
• Compliance with relevant statutory guidelines
