About Business Unit:
Dell's Global Ops Organization is hiring Principal Software Engineer who is primarily a database expert who can provide solutions and help in implementation using appropriate database technologies. Global Ops Organization caters to the Software Engineering needs of Dell's manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
•
• Analyzes business requirements/processes and system integration considerations to determine appropriate technology solutions for internal and external customers. Designs, evaluates, codes, configures, tests and documents applications based on system and user requirements
• Responsible for preparing design documentation.
• Designs, codes, tests, debug and documents software according to Dell's systems standards, policies and, procedures, security and compliance requirements.
• Analyzes business needs and creates, defines software solutions including custom developed and off the shelf software.
• Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.
• Resolves customer issues with software solutions and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Interacts with business users, I/T, vendors and customers to define current and future application requirements.
• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of application programming and analysis. Strong Object oriented programming skills
• Strong software engineering skills, thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to work in global development environment
• Self-starter, proactive, good team player, should possess exceptional commitment towards success of the team, and should have excellent crisis management skills.
• Work with the engineering manager, product owners, architects, developers and SDETs to endure that the product is being delivered with quality on time and within budget
• Work with internal IT teams to coordinate project interlocks and deployments
Essential Requirements: Oracle Apps Techno Functional Consultant
•
• 10+ years of experience on Oracle Applications.
• Responsible for delivering cross functional projects and Operational Support for Oracle EBS Inventory and supply chain domain
• Good Functional knowledge for these modules, should have knowledge of setups and features/functionalities in these modules.
• Must have excellent knowledge of current technologies deployed by Oracle including development tools, Oracle Forms/reports, PLSQL, SQL, XML etc.
• Support the team during migration and conversion efforts Publisher, have good knowledge of OAF page, Workflow, SOA, Unix Scripting skills etc.
• Must have good knowledge on standard Oracle EBS tables, mainly on Inventory, Manufacturing and other related modules.
• Should have excellent understanding of data conversion from Legacy to Oracle R12 EBS.
• Should have excellent working knowledge on standard Oracle Interfaces and APIs mainly in the Finance and Sourcing modules.
• Must have experience supporting production support activities and quick turn out is required.
• Should Experience setting Concurrent programs, Request Group, Request sets, Menus, Profile Options and their impacts.
• Understand of Oracle R12 EBS architecture on server such as DB and Apps tiers is required.
• Experience in implementing Conversions, Interfaces, Customization and Maintenance
• Should have exposure to atleast couple of R12 Implementation and Upgrade projects
• Experience in Oracle R12 (specifically to Inventory, Supply Chain, Item setup)
• Technically fluent in Writing / Debugging, Database Packages / Procedures / Function / Triggers in RDBMS using Oracle Technologies i.e. (SQL, PL/SQL).
• Knowledge of Development, Extension customization, integrations and personalization of screens / reports (using Oracle FORMS / Oracle REPORT / XML Publisher) for E-Business Suits.
• Defining and handling Oracle ALERTS and Oracle WORKFLOW.
• Highly conversant with RICE components.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Work independently to understand business requirements and be able to translate them to technical requirements.
