Job Summary:
The Red Hat Enterprise Architecture (EA) Project Delivery team is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will be dedicated to project delivery teams that are responsible for designing and developing custom packages to interface data between Red Hat's Ebusiness Suite (EBS) instance and external systems, building new custom processes, workflows, and extensions or personalizations. You will need to have proven expertise in Oracle RICE object development. As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will work with business analysts, solutions architects, integration developers, and quality assurance (QA) engineers on project implementations. You will need to preferably have a background of financial applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle EBS integrations that conform to enterprise design standards
Analyze and clarify functional specifications, write technical specifications, and implement business logic
Document use cases, create physical and logical data models, and build deployment plans
Analyze log files to help debug problems
Provide ongoing support throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) process
Work with business partners to help deliver innovative solutions on on-premise and cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications
Assess the impact of potential changes; implement solutions to mitigate negative outcomes
Participate in transition from project implementation to ongoing support through knowledge transfer to support team
Required Skills:
8+ years of experience working in Oracle EBS development (SQL, PL/SQL)
1+ year(s) of experience working in an agile team environment
1+ year(s) of experience working with distributed source control systems like Git; knowledge of branching and merging
Experience building interfaces based on Oracle business event framework
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field
Demonstrated ability to manage and plan in a fast-paced, team-focused environment; proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks and projects
Good communication skills in English
Detailed and concise written and verbal communication and documentation skills; ability to foster relationship-building with business and IT stakeholders
Ability to understand, adhere to, and drive existing team processes and ongoing improvements
Sound judgment and good decision-making skills regarding the viability of solutions and abstract concepts
Familiarity with performance optimization of PL/SQL scripts
Practical experience with SQL tuning
Knowledge of or experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX)
Experience with form personalization and customization
Knowledge of Oracle Applications Framework (OAF)
Linux and UNIX shell scripting skills, e.g., Bash
Knowledge of internet technologies like Secure Shell (SSH) or SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) or GNU Privacy Guard (GnuPG)
Functional understanding of multiple Oracle EBS modules, including iExpense, iProcurement, iPayments, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), purchase order (PO), General Ledger (GL), Project Accounting (PA), Time and Labor (OTL), Fixed Assets (FA), and E-Business Tax (EBTax)
