We are hiring Oracle Apps Finance and Procurement Consultants (preferably with Techno Functional Experience) for one of our esteemed clients located in Dubai
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose:
- Oracle Applications iProcurement, Purchasing and Finance consultant – primarily to work on all the aspects of Oracle Applications iProcurement, Purchasing & Finance modules.
- This role involves providing user support in iProcurement, Purchasing and finance modules, changes to configuration if required to meet the changing needs of the business.
- The consultant will work closely with functional team and also other technical team members to coordinate the work and support functioning of Oracle application.
- Possess good knowledge on iProcurement, Purchasing and Finance configuration and functionality and their interaction with other oracle modules.
Operational role:
▪ Consult on organization's managed services engagements related to cloud implementations
▪ Be a point of contact to client's process leads and management to manage application and process
issues
▪ Support period end processes related to Financial Closing, Costing and Variances
▪ Publish Weekly and Monthly status reports to the client and organize status calls
▪ Coordinate efforts between onsite and offshore team
▪ Work directly with client's SMEs to resolve help desk issues
▪ Work with Oracle to resolve service requests
▪ Create and update test scripts needed for functional and technical changes
▪ Maintain system related processes and documentation and suggest changes to procedures
▪ Assist with continuous process improvement and provide insights into best practices
▪ Provide assistance in key system processes (i.e. process of monthly closing of sub-ledgers,
Revenue Recognition, sub-ledger accounting, budgeting).
▪ Serve as SME to 3rd party development partners
▪ Monthly / Emergency Patch testing
▪ Complete 1st round of functional testing for month patches
▪ Support clients SMEs in 2nd round of monthly testing
▪ Assess impact of patches on training, interfaces, processes
▪ Validate patches have properly moved to production
▪ Quarterly Patch testing
▪ Complete 1st round of functional testing for quarterly patches
▪ Perform gap analysis
▪ Assess impact of patches on training, interfaces, processes, documentation etc.
▪ Make recommendations for adoption of new or changed functionality.
▪ Support clients SMEs in 2nd round of monthly testing
▪ Validate patches have properly moved to production
▪ Training Support
▪ Refresher training for SMR and key IT staff
▪ Maintain training materials. Update as necessary based on patches, change in process, etc.
Summary:
▪ The Oracle Consultant will provide functional and configuration knowledge & manage client
relationships within context of the individual role
▪ Work closely with the Project functional and IT Technical Teams
▪ Prepare and maintain technical documentation for Oracle applications
▪ Quality check / assurance for the code developed by external consultant(s)
▪ Functional solution design and development work on modules / products by Oracle Corporation
People Management:
▪ Coordinate the efforts with contracted technical consultant (if hired for additional requirement)
▪ Work closely with the peers for information sharing and knowledge transfers
External Interactions:
▪ Liaise with external consultants on Oracle iProcurement, Purchasing / Finance integrations
Scale of Operation:
▪ Provide Oracle Technical team (through front-ending BRMs or functional SMEs)
Complexity:
▪ Bachelors / Master's Degree or the equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
▪ Around 3-6 years or more experience working on Oracle iProcurement, Purchasing and Finance
Modules
▪ Strong knowledge of iProcurement, Purchasing and Finance modules with respect to
configurations and integration with other modules
▪ Extensive experience of overseeing system analysis, design, development and implementation
▪ Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
▪ Strong knowledge in providing end user support and enhancements pertaining to iProcurement,
Purchasing and finance modules
Key attributes:
Technical Skills:
▪ Experience with Oracle Applications (covering Finance, iProcurement, Purchasing modules)
▪ Comprehensive understanding of packaged software implementation methodology, data
architecture, database design and file management techniques
▪ Skills and experience related to iProcurement, Purchasing and finance configurations and mapping
business requirements to the oracle iProcurement, Purchasing / finance suite
Soft Skills:
▪ Excellent oral and written English language communication skills with the ability to present technical
matters in user friendly language to all levels across the organisation
▪ Good team player, excels in working in a team orientated, collaborative environment
▪ Excellent listening skills with the ability to translate user requirements into technical design
specifications
