OAF (Oracle Application Framework) – OAF is technology helpful to create new webpages ( Java + oracle ) as per business need apart from using standard forms provided by oracle package. Oracle is using OAF pages to replace oracle forms gradually in E business suite application and this technology will be used in all future oracle EBS releases and also in oracle fusion. OAF doesn't require any other software to be installed in the users machine and can be directly open in Mobile devices too. Below are the few Advantages of OAF over Oracle Forms.

Mobile based application and more and more use of Mobile to business activities is the requirement of time now. We can't Open Oracle Forms in Mobile device as it requires JRE in the machine whereas OAF page can be opened in any platform and browsers without any issue.
OAF pages are easy to develop compare to Oracle forms and maintenance/customization/personalization is also easy.
Oracle E-Business Suite modules like Account Payable, General Ledger, Cash Management etc.. has been used extensively by my team and we have a plan to use OAF to support custom development for these modules.
