Description
Minimum Experience: 5+ years of OBIEE Admin experience (Good to have knowledge in ODI and BI Apps)
Maximum Experience: 9 years of OBIEE Admin experience (Good to have knowledge in ODI and BI Apps)
Position Summary:
The Nuveen OBIEE Admin - Associate role will provide Administrative support, incident management and system maintenance support to minimize the impact of service disruptions and facilitate high uptime system availability. This role will be responsible for Administering OBIEE and ODI applications and additionally investigating incidents and business user request for service for Nuveen and GCST Data Warehouse platforms including but not limited to OBIEE and ODI, and extending support to other WebLogic technologies that the team supports, diagnosing root cause of the issues, and executing return to service solutions in case of outages.
Key Functions:
• Provide tier-3 Admin support
• Respond to production issues/emergencies during business hours and off hours according to SLAs.
• Engage with and communicate to the appropriate stakeholder groups about production issues and maintenance
• Perform root cause analysis and provide technical solutions to issues related to the applications managed by the team
• Monitor routine and critical processes and workflows and proactively identify problem trends
• Assist with application implementations and configurations as needed
• Assist with documenting technical and business processes including application technical reference guides.
Requirements (Work Experience and Educational background):
Nuveen OBIEE -
• Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) Administration - Strong Knowledge in Administration Preferred
• Scripting Knowledge: Unix / Perl - Shell Scripting, PL/SQL
Must have:
- Should know how to install and configure OBIEE
- Should know how to scale OBIEE environments into clustered environment and also Cloning one OBIEE environment to other.
- Should know how to setup Multi User Development (MUD) Environment for OBIEE
- Should know how to perform OBIEE migrations in a MUD environment
- Should know how to provide implement security within OBIEE
- Should know how to configure SSL for OBIEE
- Should know how to configure LDAP for OBIEE
- Should know how to configure SSO for OBIEE
- Should know how to debug issues related to access
- Should know how to debug issues related to any basic functionality of OBIEE not working
- Should know how to administer Agents
- Should know how to administer BI Publisher (BIP), and BIP jobs and Reports
• Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Admin – Strong knowledge in Development and Administration preferred
Must have:
- Should know how to install BI APPS (OBIA) and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
- Should know how to perform ODI code migrations in a SDLC environment
- Should know how to provide implement security within ODI
- Should know how to manage loads through BIACM and ODI Studio
- Should know how to schedule jobs and load plans in ODI Studio and BIACM
- Should know how to manage Physical and Logical Topology in ODI
- Should know how to manage IKMs and Models
- Should know how to debug issues related to user access on ODI
- Should know how to debug issues related to any basic functionality of ODI not working
- Should know how to administer ODI java Agent and related load balancing
- Should know how to administer ODI load plans and scenarios and jobs
• Scheduling tools: CA Autosys (Good to have)
• DB skills: Oracle
• OS Knowledge: Unix / Windows.
Other skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science or related field required.
• Should be responsible and must take ownership and accountability of tasks delegated to this role.
• Experience in Windows platforms and Good knowledge working with UNIX and basic shell scripts
• Understanding of Oracle RDBMS, SQL
• Must have Presentation skills
• Understanding of ITIL concepts
• Understanding of ticketing management system

• Must be able to troubleshoot OBIEE and ODI production issues
