Job Description: Oracle SOA Architect
• Architecture and design of distributed, multi-tier applications using Java platform tools and technologies
• Proficiency in adoption of architecture paradigms such as SOA, Web-Services, Middleware technologies
• Proficiency in definition XML, XSD schemas, SOAP, WSDL and having better understanding of best practices
• Prior experience in role of an architect needs to be highlighted. Industry experience must be no lesser than 8 years
• Experience in architecture consulting assignments is a plus. Knowledge on standard or mature architecture frameworks or methodologies is preferred. Certifications, if any, may be highlighted
• Experience in designing high availability environments with clustering, failover/recovery and load balancing strategies for multi-site implementations
• Proficiency with modeling, UML/OOP concepts, GoF and JEE design patterns, JEE frameworks
• Ability to be on top of technology changes in the industry
• Deep understanding in SOA lifecycle and ESB based Integration. Has worked on large enterprise level SOA initiatives.
• Ability to analyze requirements, identify services and design services with reusability in mind.
• Ensure that the developed architecture/solution meets the service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance and reliability. Foster the development of high performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives.
• Collaborate with customer to identify and define standards and metrics on the relevant technology. Monitor current performance and to ensure appropriate levels of capacity, quality, service level and resources and solutions are optimally tuned.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects and provide recommendation on technology roadmaps in the technology area.
