Job Summary:
The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for an Oracle Applications Technical Consultant to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will work as a member of a highly dynamic and collaborative IT Business Operations team. This team is tasked with developing and maintaining Red Hats business integration. You will work on the design, development, testing, documentation, and release of enterprise-based solutions that conform to PL and SQL development standards. These activities will integrate with Red Hats Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) for inbound and outbound transactions. As an Oracle Applications Technical Consultant, you should have solid communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to partner with internal and external business customers. You should also demonstrate leadership qualities to instill confidence in ITs solutions and have the ability and willingness to mentor peers. You will work with business partners in global regions, including Asia Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and North America (NA).
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain EBS applications that conform to enterprise design patterns
Mentor teammates on technical and non-technical skills
Analyze and clarify business requirements to implement server-side business logic and user interface (UI)
Document use cases, create physical and logical data models and build deployment plans
Analyze log files to help debug problems
Provide ongoing application maintenance and support
Represent the team in meetings with stakeholders
Perform key maintenance activities and project tasks, including requirements, elicitation and analysis, functional design, standard and custom configurations, documentation, functional testing and release support
Provide functional validation and support for scheduled maintenance outages, environment refreshes, and quarter-end activities; these activities will occasionally require for you to work outside of the core business hours
Assess the impact of potential changes and solutions to mitigate negative outcomes
Required Skills:
6+ years years of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) development experience in the supply chain management (SCM) module, mainly order management, inventory, and advanced pricing
Oracle PL and SQL development experience
Experience with workflow and with reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICE) components
Good knowledge of the Oracle Trading Community Architecture (TCA)
2+ years of experience working in an agile team environment
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field of study
Demonstrated ability to manage and plan in a fast-paced, team-focused environment; proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks and projects
Fluent English language proficiency
Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills with the ability to describe things both in detail and in a concise manner
Expertise in facilitating meetings, webinars, and conference calls
Ability to understand, adhere to, and drive existing team processes and ongoing improvements
Solid communication skills that foster relationship-building with business and IT stakeholders
Sound judgment and good decision-making skills regarding the viability of solutions and abstract concepts
Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle Application Framework (OAF)
OAF, and web services calls are a plus.
